I made a few more headbands this morning. I really wish I had a little girl to model them, but I don't and I'm pretty sure my hubby wouldn't be thrilled with our 3 year old son modeling them ;D
These headbands are super easy. If you would like to make them you will need the following:
- Headband (either fabric/elastic or plastic)
- Felt (At least 2 colors, you could do solids if you want)
- Scissors
- Needle & Thread
- Glue gun
It's so simple, I promise! Cut out 5 circles from your felt in varying sizes. My largest circle was 2 1/2 inches. You can even create your own templates in paint on your computer and print them on cardstock. The circles don't have to be perfect, you can even create different shapes. Once you have them all cut stack them on top of each other with your smallest circle on top. Then take your contrasting thread and needle and do a simple cross stitch a few times, or if you would like add small buttons there. Once you have all the pieces finished and put together (I had 3 on each headband, you can do as many as you like) then glue on to your headband. I usually place them off center on the headband (this part I do have my 3 year old come over and help so I get the right position, shhhh!) :) That's it your done! These are simple, but very cute headbands...hope you enjoy making them.
