Felt is so awesome. So much you can make with it. Kid crafts, awesome flowers, and well there are countless other crafts and things you can make with it. It's so inexpensive and comes in so many colors now that it's perfect for making felt flowers for headbands of course! I found this awesome tutorial on how to make these super simple rolled flowers.
Here's what you'll need:
* Felt in any color your heart desires
* Scissors
* Glue gun
Print and cut the template on a piece of card stock so it's firm, that way you can reuse it again.
Let's Start:
#1 - Cut a square of felt just a tiny bit bigger than your template.
#2 - Trace your template on the felt and cut it out. You'll be left with the spiral shape like shown in photo.
#3 - Start rolling from the outer end. Just keep rolling and keeping the bottom straight. You can glue as you feel necessary, I like to put a dot every so often. Roll it until you get to the last part which is a larger circle. That is your finishing piece. Glue that to the bottom of the flower as your backer. Done! Now make a bunch and glue them to everything! You can probably either create your own similar template or enlarge the one I gave you the link to.
Here is another felt flower idea,
a little more time consuming but very cute.

Love these felt flowers - especially the Dahlias! Awesome idea and looks super easy. They would make great gift toppers instead of the traditional bow. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by Reannah! Hope you join me often.
Those are really pretty! Thanks for sharing!
Love this flower, for so many time i've looking for a tutorial like this! thank you so much, but i have a question, how can i draw the spiral in felt without marks???
Thanks for stopping by Ladies! @Dodos, I usually use a white colored pencil on darker felt or a pen lightly on lighter felt. I cut closely next to the line, not right on it. And if I see any marks when I'm done I just very carefully trim them after the rose is rolled up and finished. Hope that helps. :)
Super! I've been trying to figure out this type of rose for some time...thanks for sharing!!
:( the template doesn't work ...
Claire - I'm so sorry. I just tried the link myself and I have no idea where the blog it was linked to went. I will investigate, and I'm not sure if I saved the pdf file of it. I'm on my laptop, but next time I'm on my pc I will check and if I have it I will let you know! :) Sorry again. That's a bummer!
Waiting for the pdf file....:(
I'm sorry I never received an email with an email address to send it to. If you can email me at thecraftedsparrow@hotmail.com or give me your address I will send it to you asap! :)
