Well today with so much joy and excitement I sent my oldest back to school as a Second Grader! I still had butterflies in my stomach, and cried a little even. Let's just say that I was ready for him to go back to school, actually so was he...he's all about learning and being kept super busy. And well me not so much. I decided that we would start this year off with a super fun lunch so I made a "Phineas & Ferb" themed sandwich type bento box lunch. If you don't know what that show is it's on Disney, and both the boys recently started watching this show ALL THE TIME! It's actually not so bad, it really encourages invention and having the best day ever. Granted the sister character is constantly tattle telling, but I can ignore that.
So I made Corbyn this "Ferb" sandwich and sent him a special note for lunch.
And here's the stud himself posing for his annual first day pictures. Isn't he absolutely handsome. We are so blessed.
Now I just have to wait 2 more years until the younger one joins in on all the first day fun. Hope you all had a wonderful first day of school, and enjoyed watching your kids become a little more independent. I hope that this year is a magical and fantastic year for everyone.
There are so many bento box lunch ideas if you just search for them, but here's one that I really like. I may be making a trip to Lee Lee's this week at Dobson & Warner (giant Asian market that smells weird, but has cool stuff!) Maybe they'll have some awesome bento box stuff!
