Possible Future Project!

Let's just say our Kitchen and Bathrooms are in need of "HELP".  Yep there straight out of the 80's.  Our cabinets are a honey colored oak, no hardware.  The counter tops are plain laminate, scratched and chipped.  We would love to re-do or update them, unfortunately finances don't allow for a whole kitchen overhaul.  We've gotten all new appliances within the past couple of years (all black).  So when I came across Rustoleum's Transformations Cabinet & Counter top kits I got a little excited.

Rust-Oleum Cabinet and Countertop Transformations
The kit for the cabinets comes in either a light or dark variety.  I would obviously choose the dark.  Light cabinets and my two boys = too much work for this Momma!  ;D  The price for the cabinet kit is about $80 at Home Depot and Lowes I think.  The counter top kit is about $200.  Think about what your saving by just refreshing what you already have.  Don't get me wrong I would take a whole new kitchen in a heartbeat...but this is the next best thing in my opinion.

Go HERE to view there gallery of transformations sent in by customers.  It makes me excited to see the potential that my kitchen could have!  So we'll just have to wait and see what the hubby thinks.  If it's a go with him, we won't start it for a couple months.  Here's to hoping!!!  :D

Have any of you used either one of these kits?  If so, what was your experience like?
