So I decided to share 20 random things about me today. I don't know why, it just sounded fun...and something that would help you know a little more about me. So here goes...
}}}}}}}}}} ::::: {{{{{{{{{{
1. I was born in Anchorage, Alaska in 1979. My parents were in the army there.
2. I will be married 9 years in March to my hubby Gonzalo. We met 11 years ago, when we both opened the very first Pei Wei Asian Diner. He still works for them as the Kitchen Manager for the one of the busiest restaurants in the company...He rocks at what he does!
3. My Mom is my HERO! She raised as a single parent, and if I do say so...she did an AMAZING job. She is my best friend (and I mean BEST), she's my mentor, my voice of reason when I'm not thinking clearly or acting on impulse, she's honestly the best Grandma to our boys, and the best parent God could have given to me and my brother. She's wise beyond her years, full of Godly knowledge, and beautiful. I could go on and on about her!
4. We do not own a flat screen tv! Nope not one single fancy tv in this house. I think we may be one of the last people in the US that don't! Someday, but I can't justify spending all that $$$ if the other ones still work. Although I'd like one to replace the tiny tv in our bedroom (yes we have a tv in the bedroom, that's how I fall asleep!)
5. I live off Ice Tea! Morning - Noon - Night, I drink it all the time. I have to cut myself off after 2 pitchers and give it a 2 day break every few days so I just drink water. I drink water too throughout the days all the time, but mostly Ice Tea (which is really just water too!) I love coffee as well, but don't hardly ever make it at home because it never tastes the same as ordering one from Starbucks. I usually go to a coffee night with some girls 2 times a month and that's when I order coffee (unless I'm out and order one as a treat for myself).
6. I drive a 2005 Camry, and I rock that Camry! It was such a blessing to us and it's paid off...so we could ask for a better car!
7. I am a firm believer in Dave Ramsey! Heard of him? If no, google him! I have never been a budget or a firm believer in not spending money...Dave changed me. I still have my moments of weakness and being unwise with my money...but definitely an improvement from what I use to spend like.
8. I have 2 boys. Corbyn - age 7 1/2 (So super smart, he has an incredible heart for others, and is so creative). Kaison - age 3 (such a goof, has beautiful gray eyes, so imaginative). I would love a little girl, but not sure that's in the cards for us. We'll see where God takes us with that.
9. I use to collect crosses, I had to stop because I have no wall space for them. I gave a bunch away. And now I don't know that I really collect anything. Except craft supplies! Ha.
10. I'm not the best cook, but I try. It's hard to cook for just yourself and two kiddos. Hubby's always working and not home for dinners. I do tend to make quite a mess when I cook from scratch though. I'm getting better! I make killer brownies though! I should share the recipe sometime. :)
11. I have a closet full of clothes, and jewelry...and I mean closet FULL! The jewelry I hardly ever wear unless it's a special occasion (I usually just wear my wedding rings, silver band on other hand, tiny silver earrings or hoops, and my silver stamped necklace with the boys names). The clothing situation is because most of them are too small, and I refuse to give them away because....I WILL FIT INTO THEM AGAIN SOON!
12. My first wedding ring was ordered from QVC (super pretty & big ... and super FAKE!) You would have never known it, always got TONS of compliments...especially customers who use to come in to the restaurant when I was working and say there girlfriends would love something like that! I didn't want to tell them..."well spend $300 at QVC and she can have the same one!" I just smiled and said "thanks, I'm a lucky girl and my hubby has good taste"! Buhahaha! I chose a fake ring because I would have rather had the house instead of a ring that put us in debt.
Several years ago though my great uncle passed away and left his belongings to my Grandma. One of the items was his wedding ring that was this MASSIVE gold ring with a center stone diamond about 3/4 of a carrot in weight. It's a beautiful stone, and I mean BEAUTIFUL. My Grandma as a gift blessed me with it in a new setting of my choice. I Cherish this ring...not just because it's my wedding ring...but because she gave it to me and it has a family history. I love that. And now I have the ring & the house!
13. I change the color of my bedroom like the seasons change! I always keep the same comforter color (brown currently) and just change sheet colors, and accessories. I get bored easy.
14. I am German and french Canadian as far as I know. I'm related to a Knight. That's about all I know, but I am dying to try ancestry.com to find out everything there is to know about my heritage. When I have the $$$ to spend on it I will do it.
15. I never went to college! Well technically I went for like a week or two and dropped out! Wasn't for me!
16. I am incredibly sarcastic! I love dirty jokes, and laughing till I almost pee my pants (which isn't hard to do I've had 2 kids that have done their fair share of damage!)
17. One of the my life's top 5 goals is to have a breast reduction! I know real exciting huh!?!
18. I have worn flip flops everyday since 2004! That's when I became a Mom. I love pretty shoes, but my feet have gotten so big & well FAT too...so the pretty shoes don't love them back. Someday I will be able to actually walk in pretty shoes again, it's like riding a bike...Right?!
19. I bite my nails. A lot. I have bitten them since I was 8 or 9, that's when I stopped sucking my thumb! Ridiculous I know, but I did!
And last but not least, and definitely MOST importantly:
20. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ! I believe that there is one true GOD, and that's my God! (He is yours too) I desire to have a heart that is pure, loves God, loves others the way God did, and lives a life that ministers to others. I believe my faith and my relationship with God are incredibly important, and I want my boys to grow up to be incredible men of God by seeing that relationship and desiring their own. I long for my husband to desire those same things. I love our new church (Sun Valley, it's HUGE!). I was raised Assembly of God, but don't believe in religion..I believe in relationship! I believe that God loves everyone...especially sinners...that's all he has to work with! I just love GOD and all he has blessed me with and the opportunities he's giving to me.

And that is all!
