Fall Family Pictures - Outfit Choices

So every year for the past couple years we've had our family pictures done by a great friend Rhi from Raw Canvas Photography.  She always does a great job.  For about a month before we get our pictures taken I do the whole what the heck are we going to wear game.  Well we usually do two outfits, so that's double to thought I have to put into it.  It's always easier to shop for the boys than it is myself (one of the problems that comes with being plus size).

I recently found Polyvore.com.  If you've been on Pinterest and "liked" or "re-pinned" any of the cute clothing or apparel selections that are pieced together with accessories this is the magic tool that creates those awesome pictures.  You simply create an account and then you can start creating outfit selections and publishing them for others to view.  You can even install a "Clip-it" button much like your "Pin-it" button from Pinterest.  This allows you to be on your favorite shopping site and clip an article of clothing for your personal items.  They have lots of everything for women, but men & children are little to none.

This last week I had a great time making clothing collections for our family photo shoot to have an idea of what I want it to look like.  These are the collections I created:

I think I've chosen to go with the Orange & Brown collection, and the Yellow, Black & Gray collection.  We'll be going to an arboretum about an hour away, hoping it's all pretty and fall like since everything else here looks like desert.  :)  I can't wait to start shopping!

Oh awesome! So glad I could help! It's seriously a fun tool to use. Not like I needed another addiction like pinterest! ;D

I love your choices but I must confess that I REALLY like that green collection too :)

Angie - I love the green too with the gray. But were going to have our pictures taken with a bunch of plants, so we chose to go with a color scheme that wouldn't blend in so much. :) Maybe for another photo session though!
