Over the next couple days I will be featuring some organizational tips and design elements to help you get your home organized for the New Year. Today I’m starting with Bathroom Organization! This is my least favorite room in my house, mainly because our bathrooms are the size of a sardine can! I can’t even share our master bathroom with my hubby because it’s so tiny, we had to take the door off so we could actually stand in there while brushing our teeth! What were the builders thinking in 1984! Geesh! Anyways…I love being organized! So these are some great tips to make things look good and help you stay organized.

Using either office, kitchen or bathroom designed drawer dividers are an excellent way to keep beauty products, hair accessories, and other bathroom necessities organized in your drawers.
Using a tiered tray on the counter top can dress up and keep things looking clean that would normally be laying out on the counter. And by the way, you can totally make a cute tiered tray by either gluing a candlestick to some plates like shown below with E6000, or find some cute ones at Ross or Homegoods.
Utilize what space you DO have even if the bathroom is small. Go above the door with a shelf. Use it to store extra products in cute baskets if it isn’t pretty to look at. Stacking extra towels, bath washes, etc. Be sure to keep it looking visually appealing though, people will see it while using the bathroom. Just sayin!
Jars! Use them for storage. You can find some really cute glass jars between Goodwills, Ross, Homegoods, Hobby Lobby. Fill them with cotton balls, q-tips, bath salts, etc… Also remember that votive candle holders are the perfect size glass organization for medicine cabinets! They hold q-tips well, bobby pins, tweezers, nail clippers, those floss pick thingy’s!
The medicine cabinet can become a mess quickly! So be sure to take stock of what you have that NEEDS to be in there, and find solutions to fit. I personally have long rectangular plastic trays that hold toothbrushes and toothpaste on one shelf, the other shelf has one for small items like a razor – scissors – nail files – etc.. I keep mouthwash and tall lotions on the top shelf, and other liquids that are taller. The rest is all hidden in the baskets on the other shelves. Don’t forget, guests SNOOP! WE ALL SNOOP! Don’t even try to lie about it! Ha!
Using Rubbermaid drawers to hide all your hair products, or styling tools is a great way to keep things looking clean under the sink. Use baskets, shelves, whatever you want…but keeping things organized makes getting ready that much easier in the mornings!
