9 Years Ago Today...

Today Gonzalo and I are celebrating our 9th Anniversary.  

I thought I would take a minute to get mushy and share my feelings!  Our wedding was super small, and not at all fancy or formal.  As you can tell by the picture below from our wedding day I wore a black dress {yes black, why...I have no idea}.  It was $15 bucks at Ross, but I liked it at the time.  If I could change it now, I so would!  But hey what are you going to do.  And can you see the look on his face like "oh no, what did I just do!"  Ha. Ha.

Seriously though, it has been a great 9 years with this man.  We've had the normal up's and down's like everyone else.  God from the beginning has blessed and watched over us and our little union.  Our marriage has produced two amazing boys, a beautiful home we call our own, and a friendship that I hope continues to blossom and grow for the next 40+ years.  This man works hard for me, he always has...he never denies me anything {within reason}.  God brought the exact right person into my life 12 years ago while working at Pei Wei Asian Diner.  The shameless flirting that went on during work hours, then deciding to go out on a first date...then a year going by before our next date.  Then there was the employee of ours who expressed an interest in him, and I said "oh no, I don't think so..." so I made my move and pounced, and we had our second date and have never been apart since!  I say all the time that we were meant to be together, I mean come on...how many couples have the exact same double jointed thumb!?!  Come on!  We both hate roller coasters!  He is amazing with money, me not so much = the perfect combo, cause he keeps me in line most of the time.  I could go on, but honestly all I have to say is that I lucked out...he's a great husband and an even better Dad and that right there get's me every single time!
