Back 2 School - A little something for the classmates

My son Corbyn will be starting school next week, he's in 3rd grade already!  How did that happen!?!  He's totally stoked.  We did all our back to school shopping last week, luckily we didn't have a huge amount of stuff to buy so it didn't break the bank.  Not to mention that Corbyn has an amazing Grandma who just loves to help buy school supplies!  Thanks Mom!  The only thing that I cringe at buying are those Ticonderoga Pencils!  Seriously why do they cost as much as 5x more than the other pencils.  I find it hard to believe that they are the only pencils worthy of being sharpened by an electric sharpener!  I smell conspiracy...either on the part of the other pencil manufacturers (who probably own the electric pencil sharpener factory) so that when their not to awesome pencils break they benefit from teachers having to buy more pencil sharpeners.  Or maybe its the Ticonderoga people who have us brainwashed to think their pencils are pure gold!  Either way...it's awful to pay that much for pencils!  Okay now that my little rant is over.  On to the real reason for the post. Ha Ha.

I thought it would be fun for Corbyn to take a little something for each classmate on their first day of school.  So we made these little packaged erasers for everyone.  They look like little candies, which we thought the kids would love.  Then all the kids get something useful on their first day of school too.
These are very easy and your kids can totally help.  You will need erasers, and wax paper.  I bought the erasers from Dollar Tree, they were 6 to a pack in these fun colors.  Can't beat that.

All you do is cut your wax paper in wide enough strips to have enough to twist on the ends gently so you don't rip it.  You can make a cute little tag to go with each one if you want, I just haven't decided if I want to do that or not yet.  So have fun and this is sure to be a fun little surprise to the classmates on their first day!

My son would think Salt Water Taffy and bite through the eraser.

LOL! You just made me giggle. I saw the picture on a link so I clicked on it thinking it was taffy, but they are erasers. I love this idea! My daughter is just starting school this year. This would be such a great back to school gift.
