There is rarely a day in our house when Salsa isn’t eaten with a meal, or for a snack. My husband makes all kinds of delicious salsa, maybe one day I can convince him to let me share a few recipes of his. For now I will share one of my favorite recipes to make for Restaurant Style Salsa.
1 – 14 oz. can Diced Tomatoes
1/2 medium sized White Onion, roughly chopped
1 Tb. minced Garlic
1 Jalapeno, most of the seeds & membrane removed (optional: roast your jalapeno first)
1 tsp. Honey
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
1/4 tsp. Ground Cumin
medium sized handful of Cilantro
juice from 1 Lime
Put all the ingredients in to your food processor or blender, and pulse until all ingredients are finely chopped. Taste for the seasoning, if it’s to your liking leave it alone. Sometimes I add a bit more salt or lime juice to taste. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips, top Pork Street Tacos, or add to your favorite taco salad.
