When my oldest son potty trained it was the easiest thing. He basically potty trained himself, lucky right!?! It wasn’t long after potty training at age 3 during the day that he was potty trained at nap time and bedtime. Now jump forward to my youngest son who will be 5 in September. He potty trained by age 3 as well, pretty easily…but we have yet to conquer nap time and bedtime. He actually went a pretty long stretch about 9 months ago where he was staying dry for nap time, and now it seems impossible for him to stay dry. I’m hoping these two awesome products are the trick!
How many times have you woken up in the middle of the night to a toddler or older child standing next to your bed telling you that they’ve had an accident? I have many of times. I have also done the whole throw a towel on the situation and make the child go back to bed trick! Let’s face it I’m tired, and we only have one set of sheets. Oh how I wish I had of known about GoodNites Bed Mats long ago. It’s the perfect solution to a child that has accidents or maybe you have a toddler like I do that your trying to potty train at bedtime.
The GoodNites Bed Mats are so soft, they don’t make any noise when they are on the bed. They are super easy to put on too. They have 4 large sticky corners that you simply pull the paper off of and lay the mat on top of the bed sheet on your child’s mattress. Smooth it out and your set. If for some reason the child has an accident all you need to do is peel the mat off the bed, toss, and replace with a fresh one.
Now we are all ready for nap time & bedtime.
So far I’m really impressed with these bed mats and I’m really hoping they are the trick to no more diapers or pull-ups at bedtime and nap time with this sweet guy. I know how important it is to feel the “sensation” of needing to use the bathroom when potty training, so I’m hoping if he knows there are no more diapers then he will be more aware of getting up to use the bathroom. Wish us luck!
