French Fry Cookie Valentines

01/24/2013 20 Comments

Good morning friends.  A few weeks back Pick Your Plum was offering up some adorable French Fry containers, and I jumped on them.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them as soon as I saw them. Some of them are saved for a future party, but the rest I used to make these French Fry Valentines!  Aren’t they cute?!
I’m sure you have all seen the “Today I will be happier than a bird with a french fry” quotes on pinterest.  I love that little saying, so I gave it a little vamp for Valentine’s Day and it was perfect.  All I did was whip up a quick batch of sugar cookie dough, rolled it out and cut it in to long strips to be my french fries.  I just added some washi tape to my french fry containers to add a pop of color.  Then I made these little tags and just taped them to my containers.  I made some fake ketchup dipping sauce with this icing recipe found HERE and colored it with my red gel coloring for dipping the cookies.

So do you love them?!  Cute right?!  The kids will love this.  Feel free to use this image for tags if you’d like, just right click and save it.
