Video Game Fun with The Smurfs 2

08/01/2013 1 Comment

Yesterday was the opening day for the new movie The Smurfs 2.  I know my boys really liked the first movie, and are looking forward to see this newest movie.  Luckily they received the new The Smurfs 2 video game to tide them over until we are able to go see the movie.  They were more than stoked to finally get some of their own “happy mail”.

Let me start by saying that my youngest who is 4 years old loves video games!  I don’t mean just a little, a LOT!  He’s obsessed.  So when I showed him The Smurfs 2 game for our Wii he was thrilled.  He immediately put the game in and began playing.  Something I love about this game is the fact that it’s easy enough for him to understand and maneuver.  Which is great for me because that means I don’t have to sit there the whole time helping him play.  I love that it’s multi-player too, both boys can play with no fighting over who’s turn it is.
Here are some of the scenes you will see while playing the game.  There are 30 levels to travel through.  You can choose to play as one of nine characters.  The Smurfs will travel through some exotic places like Paris, an enchanted forest, and even a lava jungle.  You gather smurf berries as you travel to increase your score, all while trying to rescue Smurfette from the evil Gargamel.  The graphics on the game are great.  Bonus it’s rated “E” for everyone.
We would definitely recommend this game.  Your kids will love it.  You can purchase this game through Amazon or Game Stop.  It’s available for the PS3, Wii, WiiU, XBox360, and NintendoDS.  Thanks again to Ubisoft for sending us the game, we’ve really enjoyed playing…it’s going to be hard for me to pull my boys away from it.
