Root Beer Float Frozen Treats

06/22/2011 Leave a Comment

This is a super quick and easy treat perfect for the super HOT temperatures here in Arizona this week.  Also perfect for the kiddo’s to make!  They taste so good!
Here’s what you need:
* 1 can of root beer or 1 1/2 cups
* 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
* 3 or 5 oz. paper or plastic cups
* popsicle sticks
* optional – cupcake wrappers
Use a whisk to mix the root beer and sweetened condensed milk together in a bowl.  Poor into cups to desired size of popsicle.  Place cups on a small tray in the freezer for about an hour and a half, then insert popscicle sticks in the center.  Then return to the freezer until they are completely set up.  (*optional – you can use cupcake wrappers after pouring liquid into cups to serve a dual purpose.  It will help in keeping the mess to a minimum and help hold the stick upright while in the freezer.  Simple just cut a small slit and place stick through into cup, and freeze.)
This recipe originally came from http://smilemonsters.blogspot.com/2011/05/root-beer-float-on-stick.html, she has tons of creative popsicle ideas, you should totally check her out.  They all sound delicious.
