Chocolate & Banana Pudding Pops

07/15/2013 4 Comments

Chocolate & Banana Pudding PopsThe weather here in Arizona is beyond HOT…and when it’s this hot there is nothing better than a frozen treat to help you cool off.  My boys love frozen treats, especially popsicles!  Today I’m sharing these super delicious and extra creamy Chocolate & Banana Pudding Pops.  All I can say is these are so good, you may not be able to eat just one!

Ingredients:

– 1 Box of Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
– 1 Box of Instant Banana Pudding Mix
– 1 Cup Extra Creamy Cool Whip, per box of pudding mix
– 2 Cups of Milk per box of Pudding Mix
– Optional – diced banana or mini chocolate chips
– 2 Large Ziplock Bags
– Paper Cups with Popsicle Sticks or Plastic Popsicle Molds

{yields 4-6 pops}

In a mixing bowl add one box of pudding mix, 2 cups of milk, and 1 cup of extra creamy cool whip. Using a whisk simply mix until completely blended.  Pour in to a large ziplock bag and set aside.

Now mix the second box of pudding mix the exact same way and pour in to the second ziplock bag. Be sure both bags are zipped and place in the refrigerator for 3-5 minutes to set up a bit. Remove bags of pudding from fridge and snip a 1/2″ size hole in the corner of the bag, use it like a traditional piping bag to fill your popsicle containers or paper cups.  Layer your flavors any way you would like.  You can add the optional items like mini-chocolate chips or banana chunks in to each layer if you like.

Once your mold is full put your popsicle stick in the center.  Place in freezer for 2 hours.

I will say that it was really difficult to remove my pudding pops from the plastic popsicle mold I used, so I think next time I will just stick to the paper cups that I can easily peel off the pop.  I hope you enjoy these!
