If your a reader of The House of Smiths chances are you’ve seen this recipe for Buttermilk Banana Bread. I saw the recipe a year ago when she posted it on the blog, and have been meaning to make it ever since and never did. Until this past week that is. All I can say is good grief it’s delicious!
The recipe uses buttermilk {hence the name} which I’ve never used in baking banana bread, although I’ve never found a recipe I really liked as much as this one either! So maybe every once in a while it’s worth it. It made six mini loaf pans of bread, one of which we gave away to my mom & grandma…the others we ate! We couldn’t stop it was so good. This is a super simple recipe to follow, I’m not much of a baker but this was definitely a recipe I can handle. I urge you to try this recipe!
