About 5 years ago I was looking for a nice headboard on Craigslist and came across a black wrought iron headboard & footboard that has sleigh style wood accents on the corners of both the headboard & footboard. I fell in love with them, especially since they only cost $30. Well now I'm not so in love with them. I really want something a little more clean. I'm leaning more towards an old door with some crown molding added to the top for a decorative finish, or old shutters...but I'm not positive yet. I thought it would be great to get ideas for some not so traditional style headboards.
